Before anything would come up to that particular stage, we should know first who are the contenders who made their best just to prove that they arte worthy for that crown and title. MEMOIRS:

She was Deborah Lyra, born in Vitória, but used up two years living in the mining town of Divinópolis. Lyra was a model since age of 8, and wished to be Miss Brazil since age of 12. With the encouragement and full support of her father, she soon commences to participate in and triumph some beauty contests. She also terra firma a few modeling jobs, but at 15, she took a break from the theater to work in an export company café, where she linger for four years, to help her family forfeit for their house.

At 18, Deborah met the state coordinator of Minas Gerais, who bid her to live in Divinópolis and prepared to participate in international beauty competitions. She also visited various countries such as Germany, France, Italy, Spain Belarus, Czech Republic, United States (where she stayed for three months) and of course Bahamas.
Lyra will represent her country, Brazil in the upcoming Miss Universe 2010 pageant.

Braneka Bassett is a hardworking and aspiring model-actress. Her goal in life is to become a supermodel which is a dream she had since she was very young. Braneka loves everything she does and she is very good at it. She is a very determined and focused person and she will do whatever it takes and will not let anything and anyone get in the way of her, while achieving her goals.

Braneka Bassett, a 20-year old model and student from Freeport, was crowned Miss Bahamas 2010. The 1.76 m beauty will proudly represent her country at the Miss Universe and Miss World pageants this year.

The 1st and second runners-up in Miss Bahamas 2010 competition also have the responsibilities this year, 1st runner-up was Anastagia Pierre, who will represent Bahamas at the Miss Intercontinental 2010 pageant; and the 2nd runner-up was Janay Pyfrom, who will travel to the Miss Supranational 2010 pageant in Poland next August.

Kim Joo-ri won among the top 20 finalists of Miss World Beach Beauty competition which took place at Zimbali Resort, Kwazulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa on November 25, 2009 and won 1st runner up in the Miss World Talent competition. At the Miss World 2009, she placed in the final Top 16, and won Beauty Queen of Asia & Oceania. Korea's last placement was Oh Eun-young in 2005. She later was announced in top 100 Miss Grand Slam and finished 56th place due to her semifinal position in Miss World.
Kim Joo-ri (Hangul: 김주리, born 1988), is the winner of Miss Korea 2009.[1][2] For the first time ever, the Miss Korea winner will represent Korea in the Miss World 2009 and 2010 Miss Universe pageant, which will be held in summer next year. She was also crowned as Miss Seoul 2009 before competing in Miss Korea 2009.

Mariana Vicente is the oldest of four kids, Ramón, Claudia Sofia and Sebastián. Her father, Ramón Vicente, is a entrepreneur and her mother, Izayma Morales, works in public kindred. Mariana Vicente is a famous top model in Puerto Rico. She also succeed the prestigious "La Cara de Imagen L'Oreal" 2005. She is a student at the University of Puerto Rico in Carolina. Her grandfather, Vicente, is one of her pressure who emigrated from Spain to Puerto Rico.

Marian Vicente epitomized Rio Grande at the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2010 pageant, held on November 12, 2009 in San Juan. She won the title of "Miss Puerto Rico Universe" and won several awards including: L'Bel Face, JcPenney's Style Award, Holsum Light Best Figure and Payless Best Catwalk. She is represented by Element Model Management in Puerto Rico, directed by Ann La Place. She is rumored to be working with fashion stylist Daniel E. Rivera.

The country mexico will be represented by Ximena Navarrete Rosette (born February 22, 1988 in Guadalajara, Jalisco) is a Mexican model, who was crowned Nuestra Belleza Jalisco in Guadalajara, Jalisco on July 16, 2009 and Nuestra Belleza México on September 20, 2009 Mérida, Yucatán.

Gradually, Navarrete studied nutrition focused to her participation in beauty pageants. And after winning her state pageant, Navarrete vied against thirty-three other contestants in Nuestra Belleza México 2009, where she garnered first place. Apparently, she is the second consecutive winner from Jalisco after Karla Carrillo, the outgoing titleholder. Ximena Navarrete is expected to represent her country, Mexico in the upcoming international Miss Universe 2010 pageant on July this year.

The country Japan will be represented by an 25 year old Japanese beauty pageant contestant from Oita. Maiko Itai(板井麻衣子, Itai Maiko?), won Miss Universe Japan 2010 last March 9,2010. Maiko, as the 13th Miss Universe Japan, accepted the crown as successor of Emiri Miyasaka, the past Miss Universe Japan 2009.
Maiko Itai lives in OITA prefecture city. She is a 25-year-old former civil service servant and she also sorked for the city hall of their town until last December last year. Itai can speak English and Portugese language fluently. It is shown over the pageant of Miss Universe Japan as she deliver her speech during at the contest proper.
Maiko Itai, as new Miss Universe Japan, selected among almost 4,000 applicants, will luckily compete in Miss Universe Pageant in July after their four Months of trainings.
